Project Description:
The South Carolina Department of Transportation (SCDOT) proposes to replace the S-507 Bridge over Langston Creek and realign the intersection of S-507 and Hilltop Avenue at SC 253 (W. Blue Ridge Drive). The proposed project is located 2.7 miles northwest of Downtown Greenville and just east of the Swamp Rabbit Trail.
Proposed Improvements:
The proposed project includes replacing the exisiting bridge and realigning the intersection of S-507 and Hilltop Avenue at SC 253. The S-507 bridge, which is currently closed to traffic due to structural deficiencies, is located within the proposed 240-acre On The Trail GVL multi-use development. The proposed two-span concrete bridge is approximately 134 feet long and 61 feet wide and will accommodate a shared-use path.

Purpose and Need:
The purpose of this project is to replace the structurally deficient S-507 (Brooks Avenue) bridge over Langston Creek.Detour Route:
The bridge is currently closed to traffic due to structural deficiencies. The approximately 1.4 mile detour route utilizes SC 253 (W. Blue Ridge Drive), Old Buncombe Road, and Brooks Avenue.
