Project Description:

The South Carolina Department of Transportation (SCDOT) in coordination with the Town of Jackson propose pedestrian improvements along S-5 (Main Street) from Tisdale Street to John R. Harvey Memorial Park. Funding for this project is provided through the Transportation Alternatives Program.

Proposed Improvements:

The proposed project will add sidewalks that will connect to existing sidewalks The project will also include new landscaping and lighting within the project corridor.

Purpose and Need:

The purpose of pedestrian improvements along S5 (Main St.) is to provide a safe route for Town of Jackson citizens to connect with each other as well as to goods and services.
