The South Carolina Department of Transportation (SCDOT) proposes to improve existing intersections at US 17 at Lakewood Campground in Horry County, SC.This intersection was selected for improvement by the Horry County Transportation Committee.

The proposed changes may include adding an acceleration lane from Myrtle Beach Resort onto US 17, and other operational improvements.

The purpose of the project is to improve access management, operational efficiency, and safety.
