Project Description:

The South Carolina Department of Transportation (SCDOT) proposes to remove the S-34-29 (Hoyt Rogers Rd) bridge over Maiden Down Swamp in Marion County.

Proposed Improvements:

The project includes removing the existing bridge and either realigning S-34-29 to reconnect to SC 41 or install a cul-de-sac. Please refer to the design concepts shown below.

Purpose and Need:

The purpose of the project is to remove the structurally deficient S-34-29 (Hoyt Rogers Rd) bridge over Maiden Down Swamp from the state system. .
