The South Carolina Department of Transportation (SCDOT) proposes bridge repair, rehabilitation, and preservation services for the SC 9 (Chester Highway) Northbound bridge over Catawba River in Lancaster County.

The bridge will undergo structural repairs to address structural deficiencies and extend the service life of the bridge.

No detour is anticipated; all work will be completed by utilizing single lane closures and staged construction.

The purpose of this project is to preserve and extend the service life of existing bridge assets by performing comprehensive and cost effective bridge repairs identified at SC 9 (Chester Highway)Northbound bridge over Catawba River in Lancaster County. The proposed repairs will improve mobility in the region and extend the service life of the bridge.
