The South Carolina Department of Transportation proposes to improve the intersection of US 25 at Shortcut Road/Trailside Drive in Edgefield County.

The existing intersection is not signalized and does not have designated turn lanes. Shortcut Road and Trailside Drive are not directly aligned. The proposed improvements include a new signal, designated turn lanes and realignment of Trailside Drive.

The purpose of this project is to improve the operational efficiency at the intersection of US 25 at Shortcut Road/Trailside Drive. The project is needed because there are currently no designated turn lanes and Shortcut Road and Trailside Drive are misaligned, causing issues with turning traffic.
