Project Description:

The South Carolina Department of Transportation (SCDOT) is proposing to replace 18 bridges in Berkeley, Colleton, Darlington, Dorchester, Florence, Georgetown, Horry, Marion, and Williamsburg counties. These bridges make up Package 22 and are part of the SCDOT’s Closed and Load Restricted Bridge (CLRB) Program.

Proposed Improvements:

Bridges will either be replaced on existing alignment with a signed detour that would reroute traffic during construction; or bridges will be replaced adjacent to the existing alignment allowing through-traffic during construction.

The package is being delivered through a design-build contract, allowing for innovation through design and schedule acceleration.
