Project Description:

The South Carolina Department of Transportation (SCDOT) proposes corridor safety improvements along S-29 (Red Bank Road) in Berkeley County, SC.

Proposed Improvements:

The project includes the installation concrete medians with drainage improvements, sidewalk installations, pedestrian improvements, asphalt resurfacing, signal improvements and new signage along Red Bank Road.

SCDOT held a public information meeting about the project on March 14, 2019 at Goose Creek High School to share project plans with the community.

Purpose and Need:

The purpose of this project is to improve the safety of this corridor to help reduce the frequency and severity of crashes occurring at this location.
