Proposed Improvements:
The interseciton improvements will include the following:
- High Friction Surfacing will be applied to all 4 approaches.
- Pavement Markings (including crosswalks, stop bars, and lane assignment arrows) will be upgraded and the signal will be improved.
- More signing will be added and the existing signing will be improved. This will include overhead lane assignment signs for those traveling westbound on W. Darlington St.
- Excess vegetation that cause sight distance issues will be cut back.
- Raised concrete medians will be added in select locations for access management and to improve traffic flow.
- Left-turn storage bays will be lengthened. Offset left-turn lanes will be created to improve sight distance.
