Project Description:

The South Carolina Department of Transportation (SCDOT) proposes safety improvements along a section of SC 28 in Anderson County, SC.


Proposed Improvements:

The South Carolina Department of Transportation (SCDOT) proposes to improve safety along the approximately 4.3-mile section of SC 28. This corridor was on SCDOT’s RSA statewide prioritization ranking with specific concerns for both vehicular and non-motorized motor users, i.e., bicyclists and pedestrians.

Purpose and Need:

The purpose and need of this Road Safety Assessment is to evaluate the safety issues and other areas of concern along SC 28, between Highway 28 South and Camellia Drive, including the intersections located along the route. The study identifies opportunities for improving bicycle, pedestrian, and vehicular safety.
