The South Carolina Department of Transportation (SCDOT) and the Town of Vance propose a new sidewalk along a section of SC 6 (Old Number Six Hwy.) and SC 210 (Vance Road) to connect with existing sidewalks on SC 210.

The proposed pedestrian improvement project will add a new sidewalk, starting along SC 6 (Old Number Six Hwy.) near Pizzaro Road, continuing onto SC 210 (Vance Road), and connecting with the existing sidewalk along SC 210 near First Baptist Church. The new sidewalk will be built on the same side of the road as the existing SC 210 sidewalk.

The purpose of adding pedestrian improvements along SC 6 and SC 210 is to provide a safe route for Town of Vance citizens to connect with one other as well as access to goods and services. Funding for this project is provided through the Transportation Alternatives Program.
