The South Carolina Department of Transportation (SCDOT) in coordination with the Town of Vance propose pedestrian improvements to be placed on a portion of Highway 6 from the Day Care Center and Eatery area to completion of the existing sidewalk on Highway 210 ending in front of the church.

The proposed pedestrian improvements includes adding to existing sidewalk along Highway 210 from the Day Care Center and eatery area to in front of the church. Sidewalk will only be constructed on one side of the roadway. Funding for this project is provided through the Transportation Alternatives Program.

The purpose of pedestrian improvements along Highway 6 and Highway 210 is to provide a safe route for Town of Vance citizens to connect with each other as well as to goods and services.
