The signed detour route for motorists traveling northbound on Lay Bridge Road will be detoured to go north on Maw Bridge Road (S-39-337) to Six Mile Highway (SC-133). They will then turn right onto Norris Highway (SC-137). This will bring motorists back to Lay Bridge Road (S-39-277).

Motorists traveling southbound on Lay Bridge Road will be detoured to go north on Norris Highway (SC-137) to the intersection of Six Mile Highway (SC-133). They will then turn left onto Six Mile Highway (SC-133), then back left again onto Maw Bridge Road (S-39-337), which will bring them back to Lay Bridge Road (S-39-277).
